Ballyseedy wood,  Turn left when exiting Cois Li B&B and walk for about 400 meters to enter the wood. Cross the wooden footbridge over the river Lea and follow the various footpaths through the 120 acre woodlands.  Along the Coach road you will see a selection of sculptures hewn from native beech from the woods and also the ruin of an old castle can be seen.  Good cycling trails also.

Ballyseedy Monument. Taking the N21 and at Ballygarry Junction turn right, drive for approx 900 meters and the monument is situated on the left side of the road. The monument was erected in memory of 8 people killed there during the irish civil war.

Ballyseede Castle/Hotel Ballyseede Castle, Tralee Ireland, is an impressive building and has a history dating back to the 1590’s. Ballyseedy Garden centre& Cafe Ballyseedy Home and Garden is an award-winning family run business set on 5 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens on the outskirts of Tralee, Co. Kerry. Crag Cave, Discovered in 1983 and thought to be over 1 million years old Crag Cave is a magical wonderland of stalagmites and stalactites. It is an all weather visitor attraction located in Castleisland Co. Kerry 2 km off the N21.

Tralee Town Park Tralee Town Park is situated in the heart of the town and is a great place to bring the children. It’s hard to believe that you are right in the middle of Tralee town as the peace and quiet is unbelievable. To start off why not get the kids to do a nature walk around the park. This is quite a nice little walk and can be fun picking out the different trees. Children love the Garden of Senses, with its sculptures and fabulous plants. Then depending on the time of the year you visit, there is the most gorgeous smell of roses in bloom.  A new fountain has replaced the two old fountains in the park and the children’s play area has been relocated with lots of new play equipment installed.

Ashe Memorial Hall/Museum Built as local authority offices, the Ashe Memorial Hall sits at one end of Denny Street, dedicated to the memory of Thomas Ashe. The building is built of local sandstone and houses the Kerry Museum and a reconstruction of early Tralee.

Golf

We are spoilt for choice in Kerry with some of the best golf courses in Europe in our doorstep. There are a number of championship courses including Bally bunion and Killarney to pay as you play facilities in Dunloe and Dingle. Tralee Golf Club, the first course in Europe designed by the legendary Arnold Palmer, has developed a superb 18-hole ‘links’ course at Barrow some 9 miles from Tralee. Walking/cycling

Tralee offers excellent walking and cycling routes of all distances and difficulties to suit everyone. Woodland walks through Ballyseedy or Scotia’s Glen. Ship canal to Blennerville or to the SPA. Swimming Enjoy a swim at Tralee sports and leisure centre, (off listowel road). Free carparking. Open to the public.  Visit the Aqua Dome is one of Irelands Largest Indoor Waterworlds & Premier Tourist Attractions. The Aqua Dome offers tropical temperatures all year round and is a Great Day Out for all the family whatever the weather!
